Weekly Goals for December 14th -- December 20th

Although I don't stray far from my goals on weekends in terms of behavior, developing the habit of stopping by my blog obviously hasn't happened yet :). I'll try again this weekend, although this upcoming weekend will be even more hectic than this one, so I'll admit I'm not making promises!

1) Planner and praise every day, including weekends

2) 3 liters of water 5 days a week, 2 liters 2 days a week

3) Dance, run or gazelle for 1 hour every day

4) Breathe 3x a day

So, what's your game plan as we approach the mid-month mark? Feel free to post what you're planning. I'm finding updating my post daily to be very helpful and informative, so if you'd like to do so as well, join in!

  1. My goals this week will be:
    1. Set up a journal/praise/food log
    2. Drink more water (haven't been meeting my goal)
    3. Step up the exercise. I've been slacking on this one. (I did extra exercise today :)

  2. Way to go with the extra exercise, cbd. You've got it :)! This is a challenging time of year, but you (and I ;) can do it. Keep up the great work!

  3. Daily Update:

I'm fighting a sinus infection serious enough to warrant a doc's appointment today, but I did all right with my goals, except for exercise. I did some dancing, but not an hour's worth. I'll get caught up on exercise after I'm feeling better. So far, so good!

  4. Yesterday was both hectic and full of surprises. I think I fell short of every goal except planner/praise. But the day wasn't a *complete* loss--I did drink *some* water, did *some* breathing, did *some* dancing. I got a lot done...and I'm proud of what I accomplished yesterday. Back to my goals...with no regrets.

  5. Sounds like you are doing great considering you have a sinus infection. I exercised extra today. And I got a planner when shopping yesterday. Not Franklin Covey, but similar enough. It has a place for daily tasks, etc. I plan on putting the routine things on the list because they require time and effort. Like milking the cows, etc. I've done lots of thinking, too. I may hang loose until after the holidays and then really dig into it!! That will give me time to think and plan. Hope you are well soon!!!

  6. Thanks, cbd! I've been telling myself to be reasonable with my expectations until I'm 100% well, and it's *very* nice to hear that from someone else :). I'm curious to hear how it goes for you with your planner. Keep us posted!

Yesterday went nicely -- didn't get in an hour of exercise, but got in my breathing, water, planner and praise. And I did a 1/2 hour of dancing, so I'm very pleased with how the day went. Onward!

  7. Tough week, as my sinus/ear infection is proving tougher to kick than I expected. The only goal I met was planner and praise. I drank a *lot* of fluids, but just 1 liter of plain water. I danced for a half-hour. I used my breathing just once. Thank goodness I don't have to do weight management perfectly to do it well! -- I just have to keep doing it.

  8. I actually got on the scale yesterday, after I needed to take in the waistband on the pants I wore to dance class last night. I've lost 4 pounds since November. So far, so good, and after today, I'm looking forward to 1) being healthy and 2) being a little less busy.

Yesterday wasn't too bad...got in my water and exercise, did some breathing. I didn't get to my planner/praise, though. And starting tomorrow, I'm going to kick things up a notch with exercise, since I'll have more time for a few weeks.
