Weekly Goals for December 21st -- January 3rd

My dance performance was yesterday, but we're already talking about a springtime show -- maybe Valentine's Day, maybe Mother's Day, but soon, so I'm pretty much keeping things as they are:

1) Planner/praise every day -- especially the weekends!

2) Dance 1/2 hour and Gazelle 1/2 hour, or run

3) 3 liters of water every day

4) Breathe 3 times a day

I'm finding this process of daily posting to be incredibly helpful, so if you'd like to jump in and post your goals and observations, please join me! I'd love to hear from you :).

  1. Well, let's see. Today's the first day I've felt *really* healthy in a long time, so I'm glad for that. Yesterday was a mixed bag. I got in 2 liters of water, did my planner and praise, and did some breathing. I fell short with exercise, though. Today will be hectic, so we'll see how things go. I may not be able to get caught up on exercise...I may have to aim for just getting in *some.* Of course, some is better than none! -- and I'm doing well otherwise.

  2. Yesterday was another mixed bag. I got in some water, did my planner and praise, did some breathing. I made it out for a run, which was great! -- although it was windy and kicked up my allergies. On the up side, I headed to bed early...then woke up early and refreshed, and today's been productive. So far, so good with planner and praise, with breathing, and with water. Onward!

  3. Merry Christmas!! I've been doing alot of head work. Planning for 2010. I want to think about my goals and ambitions. Saw Dr. yesterday and she is pleased with my progress. Enjoy your family time tomorrow. Having dinner with my mom at my house. Looking forward to that.

  4. A belated merry Christmas to you, cbd! I'm happy to hear about both your doc's visit and your time with your mom. You've earned it :). I hope you're enjoying a wonderful holiday season...I know you're looking forward to even more health and happiness in 2010!

  5. Things have been a mixed bag for the past several days. On the down side, I've been *very* lax about water. I've done fairly well with breathing and planner/praise. Exercise hasn't included as much dance as I'd like, but I've been both dancing and running daily. So, overall, not so bad. Our schedule is upside-down again today, but tomorrow we return to normal. I've already done planner and praise. I'm going to focus on getting in more water today, on doing some dancing and running, and on keeping up the breathing.

  6. Our schedule is approaching normal, so perhaps it's not surprising that I did pretty well with goals yesterday. I got in breathing and 2 liters of water, an hour of dancing, and planner and praise. So, not too bad. Onward!

  7. Well, let's see. I did a half-hour of dancing, drank 2 liters of water, and did all my breathing, planning, and praising. Today's goal is to up the exercise and get in at least a half-hour on the Gazelle, if not an hour.

  8. I didn't make yesterday's goal for exercise, and I fell short on water, too. I did accomplish some other goals that were important to me. Maybe it's because I've really stepped it up with the breathing, planning, and praising, but I feel good about yesterday nonetheless. Today's goal is to plan ahead for time for exercise -- we have lots of plans for family fun, so I need to work with my family ahead of time in order to get some exercise in later today.

  9. Hi Donna, Happy New Year!! We got wonderful news 12/31. Mom went to see her urologist and got a clean bill of health. She had baldder cancer in 2007 and chemo washes and lots of cysto checks (a look-see in the bladder as I call it). She doesn't have to go back until 3/31. I am still doing lots of head work on my eating habits and the "why". I started a journal and planner. It does help. I have also been getting in more water. The exercise has slumped. It is cold, snowy, and miserable outside. Of course, I do get some exercise forking out the barn and trudging around in the snow. So we're off to a new adventure---the year 2010!!!!!!!! Best wishes.
